Rashed Alrasheed is lecturer in Applied Science University, Bahrain and a fellow at the Richardson Institute, Lancaster University. His research interests include: political sociology in the Middle East with a focus on Shiism; sectarianism; security; legitimacy; and sovereignty. He also broadly interested in Political Islam and the relationship between religion, society and state.
